“Becoming a member of Boys & Girls Clubs of North San Mateo County at the age of 10 allowed me to feel immediately comfortable around my peers and became a place where I felt secure and protected by staff. Today, after being part of the Club for eight years, I truly feel that I’ve matured gracefully, found my sense of self, and discovered my purpose in life: to work with children and support their success the way that staff at the Club have done for me.” – Mariana Hernandez, 2016 Youth of the Year

Boys & Girls Clubs of North San Mateo County has inspired and enabled young people, like Mariana, to realize their full potential and contribute to their communities since 1953.

The Club reaches kids who need them most with outcome-driven programs designed to increase their performance in the areas of education, health and character and leadership development. By providing access to positive and productive afterschool and summer programs as well as caring adult mentors, the Club can help reverse the most negative trends facing kids today, including graduation rates, obesity and violence.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

The Club does an amazing job of ensuring that every child has access to a safe place after school and during the summer where they can build the knowledge, skills, and behavior to put them on the path to a great future, but we can’t do it alone

Invest in the Club. Your investment will directly contribute to the Summer Day Camp Scholarship Fund. By giving to the Club, you’ll play a vital role in granting all kids an opportunity to benefit from stimulating, educational, and physically active programs and field trips—regardless of their family’s financial resources.

Investing in our youth is key to building great futures and strong communities. With your help, we can continue to carry out our mission. We invite you to donate to the Boys & Girls Clubs of North San Mateo County today!
