Our kids need your help!

Can you imagine growing up without a safe place to go each day after school?  Without the opportunity for sports, or trips to the museum or the zoo?  Without an adult you trust to spend time with and help you with your homework?  Sadly, many of the families we serve at the Boys & Girls Clubs just don't have the ability to provide these experiences.  When parents are busy working two jobs, working a night shift, or running a single parent household, kids from low-income families often fend for themselves when the school day ends.  It doesn't have to be this way.

Poverty is a complicated problem.  The Clubs' solution is simple: we create a safe and healthy environment where kids can come when school is out to get the support they need to overcome all the challenges of poverty or disadvantaged circumstances.  Whether that means a balanced meal or help filling out financial aid applications for college, the Clubs are capable of providing each child with the unique combination of resources, opportunity, and guidance that they need to thrive.

We welcome more than 4,000 children and teens into our Clubs across Ada County, where we inspire and empower them to do their best in school, make healthy, responsible choices, and get involved in the community.  Club members do homework, not drugs.  They speak up and take part, instead of dropping out.  Poverty has the power to influence nearly every aspect of a child's life; fortunately, so does the Boys & Girls Clubs of Ada County.
