Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware, Inc.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware serve more than 32,000 children in all areas of the state -- about one out of every five school-aged children in Delaware, more than any other youth-serving agency. However, there are thousands more children who need our services. Simply put, the demand for our programs and services greatly exceeds our ability to provide them. Boys & Girls Clubs are much more than just gyms. Each of our Club sites offers a unique mix of quality programming focusing on educational enhancement, character and citizenship, physical education, health, and arts... for a low annual membership fee of $15 per child. Moreover, all Boys & Girls Club sites are certified as child care centers and licensed by the State of Delaware. In fact, more Delaware families trust their children to our care than any other licensed provider in the state. What we do is critically important: * One out of every five school-aged children in Delaware is a member of a Boys & Girls Club. * Administrative costs to run the club are 13%, far less than most nonprofits. * It costs less than two dollars a day for a child to participate in a club program. * Clubs provide more hours of service to youth than any other organization other than schools and detention centers. * 40% of our club youth come from single parent families. * Over half of our youth have annual family incomes of less than $20,000.
