Mohamed H. fled a war-torn country with his family at the age of 4. As his parents struggled to make ends meet in their new home, he began to attend his local Boys & Girls Club where he found safety, help navigating a new culture, and academic support.

"The Club challenged me to take advanced classes in school, and even though it was tough, the staff motivated me to not give up, that it would be worth it in the end... and that anything is possible." says Mo. He is now on track to be the first in his family to graduate from high school.
