Boys & Girls Clubs of Tucson

Join us as the Boys & Girls Clubs of Tucson celebrates over 50 years of serving youth and saving lives in our community. When a child is being bullied, alone after school, tempted by the negative influences of drugs, gangs, and crime, The Boys & Girls Clubs of Tucson is there to help. 

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Tucson is the largest youth serving organization of its kind in Tucson, providing over 6,000 kids, age 7-17, with quality after-school programs and a caring staff at our 6 clubhouses. Our facilitiesare strategically located in the community's toughest neighborhoods plagued by gangs; drug, tobacco and alcohol abuse; violent crime; staggeringly high dropout rates; poverty; broken homes and an overall sense of hopelessness for the future.

We serve the kids and families who need us most. Over 50% of the youngsters we serve are from households at or below the poverty level, and over 35% are from single parent families. For this reason, our membership fees are kept at just $10 per school year and $10 per summer session, while the actual cost to our organization is $500 per child annually. Funds raised go toward offsetting these costs. If a child cannot afford to pay, and many cannot, he or she is provided with the opportunity to perform community service in order to receive a no-cost membership. Our kids are overwhelmingly from
minority backgrounds with 56% Hispanic, 15% African American, 12% White, 8% American Indian, 8% Biracial, and 1% Asian.
