Brain Injury Alliance of New Mexico

The Brain Injury Alliance of New Mexico was established in 1984 because we saw a need in our state: provide critical, urgent resources for brain injury prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation -- support needed for individuals, families, and communities. 

Brain Injury Alliance of NM (BIANM) has trained thousands on recognizing, preventing, and treating brain injury – including staff in all major hospitals in Albuquerque and domestic violence shelter workers around the state. We’ve drafted and passed major legislation including helmet laws and establishing the Brain Injury Advisory Council, and we organize the state’s only long-term rehabilitation and support groups.
