$15,000 Goal

The Brazilian Center for Cultural Exchange of Sacramento was created in 2006, by Saara Burga and Archie Kelley, to be a place where the culture, language, and food of Brazil would be celebrated and displayed. It grew to be a place for the whole of Latin America to meet and showcase their cultures.
We offer classes in samba dance, Portuguese language, drumming, cooking, capoeira (Brazilian martial arts), and other forms of artistic expression.
Since the pandemic started, we have focused our efforts on our charity side, helping the community with our Lean On Me program, feeding the unsheltered and in need in the Sacramento area.
