The Fine Arts Center was born through the talents of  director Susan Neidert's  puppetry interests and a group of  local artists wanting to offer valuable after school arts learning experiences.  Together this group formed the Brigham City Fine Arts Council and took the necessary steps to make  this dream come to life.  That was in 1999.   The Fine Arts Center has grown in many ways since it's grass roots start up and is looking forward to many more years of growth and service to the community.

We strongly believe it takes a village to raise a child and  work closely with other organizations  in the community to ensure a safe and engaging community that truly cares for our youth and families and helps them develop the talents they need to be successful.  We  offer a wide variety of after school programs for our youth through choir, theater, drawing, dance, puppetry and other visual arts.   Throughout the summer months while kids are out of school we have summer art , theater, and nature camps to occupy their minds and keep  them engaged and learning.

The Fine Arts Center is home to the "World of  Puppetry Museum" which showcases an  eye catching array of puppets from around the world. With over 150 puppets from 15 different countries, the Museum  highlights the ingenuity of the different cultures respresented as well as the value of storytelling and creativity.  We provide many related out reach programs and puppet making workshops  to schools and community groups.

To involve adults as well as families, we offer a "Music in the City" concert series  October thru April. Music in the City  brings very talented and high caliber entertainers to our charming city to perform and inspire us.   We also offer evening classes for adults in photography, drawing, sculpture and painting.

Other programs  include monthly Open Mic times, a monthly preschool story time, periodic theater productions, and special family events.

We rely heavily on donations to keep our many programs and services as affordable to families as possible.  We have several free programs  and then  offer class scholarships so that no child will be turned away because of the  inability to pay.  Our programs and services are designed to give all those who participate a sense of belonging and acceptance, to broaden their creativity,  and ensure a safe and friendly environment where they can grow their talents. We welcome all who would want to partner with us in building a better community with art.
