Help Us Touch the Lives of Homeless People With Friendship and Hope 

Brighten the Corner is a small nonprofit 501(c)(3) charity spreading friendship, encouragement, and hope to unhoused people. We are touching the lives of people who experience homelessness. Your entire contribution will go towards providing hot meals, nutritious snack packs, clothes, shoes, socks, hygiene kits, blankets, sleeping bags, padded roll-up mats, and similar necessities to the people that we serve directly on the street. Unlike other charities, we do not use donated funds for "administrative costs" (like salaries, rent, office supplies, or advertising). All of our leadership and staff are volunteers and they cover administrative costs from their own pocket so that 100% of all public donations go directly to the people we help. ☺ 

Even more important than the tangible necessities we share with homeless people, are the relationships we build with them. We take time to listen. We visit them every week and develop friendships. We learn their names, and greet them by name with a handshake or hug. We treat them with dignity and compassion. They say it means so much to know someone cares. Several have said that we are the closest thing they have to a family. Ultimately, we give them hope.

Our goal is to help our friends get off the street. We try to connect them with resources that can provide housing, healthcare, and employment.
