Brightest Star Inc

The Brightest Star, Inc. is a dedicated group of volunteers seeking to make a difference in the lives of children and teens especially those thriving in Foster Care.  Though our core constituency is abused, abandoned, neglected and troubled youth in residential treatment facilities, group homes and foster family agencies, many at-risk youth attending public schools and/or on campus non public schools in need of support, we honor those young ones as well.  

Since our inception in 2008 we have provided one or multiple services to over 3,000 kids and have witnessed so many miracles.  

Our Brightest Star story is simple and filled with love. We dream big. . . and desire to empower, motivate and inspire young minds and hearts traumatized from some form of abuse, neglect or abandonment to dream, excel, achieve and believe in the possibilities of success as defined by their individual treatment plans, challenges and goals.  

We build self-worth through flexibilty and individuality. Our organization through its programs serves youth ages 5-23 and are designed to inspire towards producing a healthy mental outsome.  We thrive only through grants and donations.  Every penny counts and we stretch every penny to 100% benefit the kids in numerous ways.    

Our Program and services are: Foster to Famous-Leader in Me/An in school and/or after school educational mentoring program designed to build leadership towards academic success.

Self-Esteem Building Workshops/This is a 4-8 week workshop designed to build self-esteem and youth development. 

Speakers Bureau/A Beautiful Mind Addressing Stigma and Discrimination towards Mental Illness in youth. This program provides presentations made to the community at large regarding addressing mental heath stigma and discrimination.

Celebrity Motivational Visits/Celebrities visit youth to inspire and empower.

Anti-Bullying Campaign/The Strawberry Pot, a book written and designed to attack bullying in school. 

AB-490 Assistance for K-12/ Foster Care & Adoption Advocacy/ Supportive Services to Transitional Foster Youth.

Our journey is difficult and challenging at times, there are so many troubled and vulnerable at-risk youth in our County.  We do our best to help young lives by any means necessary because we believe in the goodness and greatness of each child.
