Brooklyn Ballet

For over two decades Brooklyn Ballet has radically re-imagined who makes ballet, who performs ballet, and who gets to enjoy ballet. We have built a vibrant and inclusive community inspired and driven by our belief in the transformative power of dance. At the core of our work is a deep commitment to building equitable access for dance with public and community performances and robust educational programs. Each year Brooklyn Ballet directly impacts the lives of 15,000+ diverse Brooklynites through an innovative range of dance programs and services.

Brooklyn Ballet brings art directly to Brooklyn neighborhoods and schools through Elevate, which works in schools from Weeksville to Flatlands, and through Take Ballet to the Streets, which widens access to ballet through free performances in community centers, parks, and senior centers. Brooklyn Ballet presents an annual performance season, which includes The Brooklyn Nutcracker at The Theater at City Tech December 6-14, 2025, and supports emerging choreographers with Brooklyn Ballet Incubator. Our Downtown Brooklyn Dance School provides high quality dance training in a nurturing and inclusive environment for students of all ages and abilities. Last year, we awarded over $60,000 in scholarships to students in need.
