Losing a loved one can be one of the most challenging times in a man’s life. It can be isolating, hard to talk about, hard to share, and hard to navigate. Broreavement is a nonprofit organization that offers a safe place for men and boys of color to express their feelings, connect with others who are facing the same loss, and find comfort in shared experiences. 

Broreavement provides a safe space for men and boys of color to navigate the emotional and psychological impact of losing a loved one.  At Broreavement, we create a community to help men and boys heal. Past activities we have hosted include guided meditation sessions, cooking classes, fishing trips, art therapy and more. Additionally we have sponsored essay contests in conjunction with local schools where the winners have received tickets to professional football and baseball games. We have also served as featured speakers on mental health panels aimed towards school aged children.

At Broreavement we believe in the healing power of sharing experiences and offering mutual support to cope with the loss of a loved one. Our mission is to help men and boys of color find the strength to move forward without forgetting the ones they’ve lost and to provide a community of support every step of the way on their journey of healing.
