We are dedicated to serving Veterans, Active-Duty Military, First Responders, and Gold Star Families by offering them an outdoor, bonding experience. We work with many who have disabilities, both physical and mental, such as those who’ve been injured or dismembered, suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder, traumatic brain injuries, survivor’s guilt, and feelings of isolation.
The services we provide that most of the Heroes are interested in are hunting and fishing adventures. These adventures are completely free for all service members and their immediate families.
We also provide all the equipment needed, as many disabled Heroes have given up on owning a firearm or fishing equipment because they thought they’d never be able to participate in these activities again.
Last season we took 75 hunters on game hunts and harvested 65 game animals. Our 75 bird hunters harvested 750 birds. Needless to say we had some very happy hunters. Many had not hunted for years.
But most importantly, our adventures gave our Heroes a chance to meet others who have had similar experiences and challenges in life bond, and make friends who support each other as they deal with the difficulties of disabilities, hardships, and life after service. All of this happens in the great outdoors, away from the complexities of everyday life. Their job is to relax and spend time with their new teammates, building personal relationships that are crucial for peer-to-peer support.

"I still deal with PTSD and getting away from the hustle of the world. Seems to help me when I'm having a hard time dealing with things. This Hunt was one of the best things that has happened to me in a long time, both physically and emotionally, I was able to relax and not think about things, I felt like I was a kid again, before all the PTSD. The most important thing I got out of this Hunt was a new friend in Larry. I cannot thank Larry and BOOM ADVENTURES enough. Thank you for helping me be me again. I will never forget."
