As the second oldest Buddhist organization in America, BCA has a long history of responsibly fostering the practice and study of Buddhism.

We do this by-

supporting temples in outreach, maintainence, and administration

running the Jodo Shinshu Center and the Institute of Buddhist Studies in Berkeley

sponsoring scholarships for new ministers

hosting community events to promote the Dharma and charity

serving as a national resource network for all

spreading the harmonious message of Buddhism and Shinran Shonin
