Buena Vista Museum of Natural History Inc

BVM is a unique museum founded in 1995. The musuem contains one of the largest displays of rare marine fossils in the world.  These 14-16 million year old fossils were unearthed in the foothills of Bakersfield in an area known as Sharktooth hill.  Other displays include Native American artifacts and a interpretive family dweling.  BVM is the only museum in central CA that houses displays of anthropology, anatomy, archeology, astronomy, Biology, Geology and Paleontology all in one location.  And a hands-on mind stimulating discovery center
