Bughouse Theater

Born from the improv comedy scene in Chicago, Bughouse Theater strives to bring together people and artists of all stripes in different collaborative ways.

Because improvisational comedy is a collaborative artform, it made sense to us to use the tenants and philosphy of improv to  accomplish this goal.

Our production model has allowed us to put up shows that are improvised, scripted, musical, visually impactful, comedic, and dramatic.  We welcome multimedia artists, musicians, performance artists, stand ups, storytellers and dancers to collaborate with us on making engaging theatrical experiences.

Our community outreach efforts include after school arts enrichment programs, donation drives for the Greater Chicago Food depository, and free and donation based events open to the public every week.  some of these include Pigpen, and sing-along storytime for toddlers, and the Chicago Improv Studio Showcase.
