Building Bridges, Inc.

Building Bridges, Inc. was founded with the mission to empower Black and Brown girls by exposing them to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) education and building confidence. Through our STEM programming, we provide middle and high school students with the knowledge and self-assurance to explore their passions and excel in the world of STEM and beyond. Our belief in "building bridges" highlights the importance of closing gaps in access and opportunity, helping under-served youth embrace creative thinking and envision limitless possibilities.

Since 2018, we have developed over 25 STEM programs across biology, chemistry, engineering, food science, neuroscience, and technology. These programs combine science background information, hands-on experiments, and career path discussions that relate to real-world careers. We have executed more than 550 programs and outreach events and reached over 11,600 youth through more than 35 partnerships with schools, community groups, and corporate organizations.
