Building Twentyone

A nonprofit organization

$760 raised by 7 donors

Building Twentyone became a youth-driven teen center after the drunk driving tragedies in 2011 that led to the loss of teen lives in the Greater Lansing Community.

We provide a safe and supportive place for students after school to do homework, hang out in a positive atmosphere, and learn new skills; developing life changing values and habits to become contributors in society instead of just merely consumers.

Self-care and boredom can increase the likelihood that a young person will experiment with drugs and alcohol by as much as 50 percent. Youth tend to develop patterns of alcohol, tobacco, and other drug use - or nonuse – from ages 12 to 15.

We need parents now more than ever to help us become a safe choice for your children, keeping them safe from underage drinking, drug abuse, and other harmful activities.

We ask for your donation in order to provide a safe space, resources to cultivate skills, and dedicated staff members to help with our cause.
