How Does Your Donation Help?

Your donation will help us buy the books, periodicals, DVD's, and online access that make the library so valuable. With your contribution:

  • The Friends can help to purchase materials for the library's circulation.

  • Library staff can continue to help patrons access online resources for education, business, and personal use.

  • The children's book room can continue to provide high quality, up-to-date, and treasured materials for young readers and their families.
  • The library's business center can remain a technology hub providing computers and other critical equipment for business, personal or educational needs.

100% of your donation dollars will go to helping the  library buy these items so that we can share them with you.

Who Are the Friends?

The Friends of the Larsen Family Public Library was created in 1989. The Friends is a non-profit and volunteer group.

It is our mission to:

  •    Promote literacy for all ages.
  •    Provide support for the library.
  •    Encourage the community to know and use the library’s valuable resources.

The Friends represent a long-term commitment to this facility and long-term focus on literacy in our community.

Our activities include

  • Supporting library functions such as the recent 30th anniversary celebration.
  • The Friends host the very popular used book sales bringing high quality items at very modest prices.
  • In addition, the Friends have their Early Childhood Literacy program which gives books to day care and nursery school settings for young children and early readers.
