Butler County Against Heroin Inc.

A nonprofit organization

Butler County Against Heroin is a non-profit organization dedicated to creating and strengthening the capacity of our community members and organizations to build a safe, healthy and drug free community for our children. Our strategy is to engage concerned citizens and organizations to become more involved in drug prevention and treatment. Our vision is to live in a drug free community. We have no paid staff. Our organization is totally voluntary and all donations go directly into programs.

Stand Tall is a school based program that develops a positive peer pressure group in schools and the community. Members of Stand Tall vow to abstain from using drugs and alcohol and voluntarily participate in random drug screenings in order to prove their vow. Stand Tall members prove teenagers can remain straight, clean and not give in to negative peer pressure. Stand Tall is offered so students have a strong support group against drug and alcohol challenges. They are in the program from 7th through 12 th grade. We are a totally voluntary organization. All funds go to support the programs and there is no charge to the schools involved. Our goal is to save lives. This is done through training, education and fun activities. We are currently in five Butler County Schools.
