We are building a Center of Hope in Chibuto, Mozambique. The center will start with a new generation. With an estimated 380,000 orphans in this province, we are building family-style orphan houses to re-integrate the family structure into this community. In this place, where there are so few men over the age of 18 because they leave to find work, we will teach trade school programs, such as; plumbing, electrical, masonry, carpentry, business administration, cooking/baking, etc. A primary and secondary school will set the foundation of a life full of opportunity. The center model is established on the principles of sustainability. With a complete agriculture and animal husbandry program to feed the people and the bio-digester that supplies the electric and water from the onsite well, the people will learn all the vital skills to lead a full, thriving life. A life they will learn and grow. Once the center is completed, it will not need ongoing donations and support,
it will support itself. (Isaiah 43:19)
