Thriving Children. Healthy Families. Loving Community.
CCLC is a 501c3 nonprofit offering child care, preschool, and afterschool programs for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years. We support affordable child care for all families and 60% of CCLC's students receive full tuition assistance. CCLC has been in continuous operation since 1976 and is accredited through Virginia Quality and the National Association for the Education of Young Children. CCLC uses the evidence-based Creative Curriculum.
Since 2018, CCLC has participated in a public-private partnership known as the First Step Collaboration with Rappahannock County Public Schools. FSC was a response to the sudden loss of federal Head Start funding in the county. To date, CCLC has served 56 preschool children with a combination of state and local funding and private donations. We are honored to have been selected by the Virginia Early Childhood Foundation to participate in both the Mixed Delivery and Preschool Development Grants to increase access to quality childcare and preschool in Rappahannock County.
"I could not have picked a better learning environment for my daughter!
In the months that she has been there, she has truly blossomed! The front office staff and teachers are BEYOND AMAZING! They truly love and get to know each individual child. I know she is in good hands every day that I drop her off. The staff is very open to the parents as well. The school's accolades are impressive and they live up to them. I couldn't have asked for a more loving, nurturing, and educational environment for my daughter. CCLC isn't just a daycare; it is a SCHOOL. The kids think they are playing but they are actually learning skills to help them for the future.
If you are looking for a school for your child, I encourage you to come look and take a tour of CCLC. I promise you won't be disappointed.
