Our Story

For 50 years, the Child Care & Learning Center (CCLC) has been a place where children grow, families find support, and community begins. We provide a safe, nurturing environment where children from 6 weeks to 12 years learn through play, exploration, and relationships. This is not just childcare—this is the foundation for school and for life. Since 1976, CCLC has served more than 5,000 children and families in Rappahannock County. As the only childcare center in the county, we make it possible for parents to work, businesses to operate, and children to start school ready to succeed.

We Need You! 

Access to high-quality childcare should not depend on income. Today, nearly 60% of CCLC families receive tuition assistance, made possible through donors and community partners.
