Center for Theater Arts

The Center for Theatre Arts is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization that is dedicated to offering the highest quality performing arts instruction and committed to providing all students, including those with special needs, with opportunities to improve their self-image and self-confidence through artistic expression.

This thirty-week program is divided into two parts: the first will address fundamental skill development in singing, dancing, and acting. The second will begin the rehearsal process for a year-end public performance. Organization that are helping us will be credited on programs, flyers, and posters. Through the successful implementation of this program, the following outcomes can be achieved for Children with developmental disabilities: Inclusion in a fun and creative program in their community.Community awareness of the value and ability of special needs children through a public performance.An opportunity for the participants to nurture a love and appreciation of the arts while developing skills that enhance their lives on stage and off.Help the students progress in social adaptability as well as verbal and nonverbal communication.Motivate the students to pursue additional theater performances as both audience and performers. Provide a short respite for the families.
