CVEP's mission is to incite vision-driven economic transformation in the Greater Palm Springs region, creating quality jobs and abundant career paths for those who chose to call the Coachella Valley home.

Established in 1994, CVEP has emerged as a vital innovator of regional business development initiatives, fostering entrepreneurship and diversifying industry with a focus on three key initiatives:

- Providing data and analytics to businesses, governments, and nonprofits to unveil opportunities in the Coachella Valley.
- Building the Coachella Valley's entrepreneurial ecosystem, connecting startups, mentors, and entrepreneurs with the resources and networks they need, and exposing young people to entrepreneurship.
- Expansion and retention of current Coachella Valley businesses.
