Cakes for Causes

We are an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) organization consisting of cake decorators, bakers, sugar artists, and anyone else who wants to heal the world through sugar art. We show people that they are appreciated, valued, and loved using baked goods by partnering with our non-profit brothers and sisters. Our goal is to bring premium products and education within reach of all types of charities allowing them to better focus their funds toward their missions which helps to further those missions. We are where sugar art meets the heart!

We are an all-volunteer group that depends on community support to cover the costs of our ingredients and supplies; rental space; and the cost for the required licensing through the health department. The smiles, the positive comments, and the gratefulness that we have received from our past outreach work, has made us firm believers that sugar art does meet and heal the heart.

Please consider donating to our organization. Your contribution doesn't go to just one organization but it helps to support education and outreach, cancer, diabetes, and heart research and recovery, animal rescue, family planning, victims of domestic violence, veterans, military personnel and their families, child adoptions, homeless kids, foster kids, the list is endless and will remain endless as that is our way!  It's passion that drives us, not a salary.

For 2013 over 100 events were supported and more than 22,000 treats were provided!  We are on-track in 2014 to blow by that number!

Programs:

Birthday Cakes on Call (formerly Diamond Team) - In under a day's notice we have provided cakes to children having to celebrate their birthdays in the Diamond Childrens Center at the University of Arizona Medical Center, Tucson Medical Center, and Banner Thunderbird Childrens Center in Phoenix.  Our expansion to other centers is all because of support from individuals like you!!  To our knowledge we are the only organization that has this type of program (custom child's cake in short notice).

Children's Rehabilitative Services - A quarterly event held for children at various Phoenix and Tucson area hospitals.  It's meant to cheer them up with fun activities.

Operation Proud to Serve - Our way of saying "Thanks" to the military community.  Quarterly Cakes for Causes travels the Air Guard base in Tucson to distribute sweet treats.

Kids Club - A monthly program to teach kids fun decorating techniques.

Womens Center - A program in Phoenix to develop decorating skills for women at the center.

You've Been Caked for Your Kindness - Based on nominations, once a month in Phoenix and Tucson a volunteer will be surprised with a sweet treat for their dedication to the community.
