Cakes on Wheels

Cakes on Wheels is a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Organization based in Minneapolis, MN that bakes and delivers birthday cakes for kids in need. We believe that every kid is special and deserves to have a cake on his or her Birthday! When parents can’t afford to do so, we bake a cake from scratch and we deliver it to their home so they can have a candle to blow and a chance to make a wish. We use all natural, organic ingredients and make not only a delicious cake but also one that is as nutritious as possible. We currently bake and deliver dozens of cakes per month. We are looking forward to continuing to grow and serve more and more kids. We dream of a day where no kid goes without a cake on his or her special day!

We typically work with local community centers, youth and community organizations, shelters, and food shelves that serve parents in need. These include support groups for single mothers, foster kids and their foster families, and children whose families are affected by incarceration. We are always looking for new groups to partner with so that we can expand our reach to serve as many kids as possible.
