Calhoun Cleburne Childrens Center Inc

The Calhoun / Cleburne Children's Center is a Children's Advocacy Center.  The Center was founded in 1991 to help children who have suffered from sexual and physical abuse.  All of the services provided to children and their families are free. The Center is an intricate part in the fight against child abuse in Calhoun and Cleburne Counties. The Center provides forensic interviews, forensic evaluations, counseling and victim's advocacy to child abuse victims. By working hand in hand with the Department of Human Resources, law enforcement and prosecutors, victims are protected and child abusers are brought to justice.  Four hundred twenty children were interviewed at the Children’s Center in 2010 concerning allegations of child abuse.  With our assistance in 2010 sixty-five cases were prosecuted resulting in guilty pleas or guilty verdicts and over 60 cases are awaiting trial at the present time.  As a result of these cases child abusers are being apprehended and stopped from harming our areas children.
