No other organization in the state of CA has the kind of impact that the CAAAE has to transform the lives of Black children in positive ways:

  • 100% of the students in our Greene Scholars' STEM program enroll in college, 90% graduate in four years, 60% of their degrees are in the STEM field which is nearly eight times the national average for Black students.
  • Hundreds of educators and people who support schools have been trained at our summer institutes held at Stanford University and UCLA on "Pedagogies and Practices for Successfully Reaching African American Students" over a ten-year period.
  • We have empowered hundreds of parents to help their own children successfully navigate any school system that they are in.
  • One of our programs called Project WORD (Working On Re-defining our Destiny) helps students "at-promise" improve their grades, avoid suspensions and expulsions, graduate on time and lead productive lives. It has received national recognition.
  • We help shape educational policy and are the "go-to" organization for Black students throughout the state of CA.
  • We help sponsor awards ceremonies that encourage thousands of Black children to strive for academic and cultural excellence.
  • We Fuel the Future!
