Beechwood is a thriving independent, non-profit school of 170 students in Kindergarten Prep through eighth grade.  Beechwood serves over 125 families from East Palo Alto and the Belle Haven neighborhood of eastern Menlo Park.  A highly qualified staff of 29 dedicated teachers and administrators guides the students’ educational efforts. Many community volunteers contribute their time, talents and energy in support of the students and staff at Beechwood.

Beechwood’s program incorporates small classes, location within the community, a committed staff and active parent participation.

Beechwood’s rigorous academic curriculum of language arts, social studies, math, and science is enriched by music, drama, art, life skills, physical and outdoor education, field trips, community service, computer classes and library skills.  Beechwood students are taught to be kind and unselfish, and to encourage their peers to strive.  But most of all, they are taught that education is the key to reaching their potential and achieving their life’s goals.
