Diseases don’t wait. Every minute wasted because of lives changed or cut short by disease is time we can never have back.

Everyone knows of someone who has died or suffered from a disease.  Rather it’s mom, dad, a spouse, another family member, a neighbor or a child.  We CAN do something about it.

Medical research is the solution for combating diseases.  Funding from government for medical research has steadily declined and it is only getting worse.  The solution is up to each and everyone of us.   Invest in medical research today.  Your return on your investment?

Maybe, with well supported research, other moms, dads, spouses and children will not need to suffer or die prematurely.

Every child deserves to grow up and everyone deserves a healthy future.

For 50 years California Institute for Medical Research (CIMR), a nonprofit organization, has supported Santa Clara County independent researchers wanting to make a difference in people’s lives.  CIMR has supported researchers by providing a facility, management of their projects and fundraising.  These are altruistic researchers not looking to make big bucks,  but to take an idea that can advance research which will make a difference in your and others’ lives. Over the years we have supported visionaries focused on research that resulted in:

  • Improved treatment of fungal disease including Valley Fever, which is endemic in California
  • Understanding the influence of genetics on developing cancer
  • Advanced understanding of how the brain and spinal cord responds to neurological disorders (stroke, Parkinson’s disease)
  • Development of a direct physiologic measurement of neurological processes that are critical to
  • recovery from stroke and traumatic brain injury
  • Initiation of a transplant bank

We are currently supporting researchers who are looking for funding to continue or initiate their projects in the areas of spinal cord injury, diabetes, AIDS, fungal diseases, Alzheimer's, exoskeletons for mobility disorders, newborn treatments and cystic fibrosis.

Please help researchers solve the mysteries of diseases by donating to support medical research.  Please consider making as generous a gift as you can.  Donate TODAY.
