California Wolf Foundation

The California Wolf Foundation is a 100% volunteer run organization formed in 2021 in response to the recent recolonization of California by gray wolves.  Our organization works to reduce conflict between wolves and people by: 

1. Funding use of non-lethal deterrents and promoting predator awareness herd management techniques to avoid livestock losses;

2. Reimbursing livestock producers when there are wolf-caused losses; 

3. Funding research on wolves and new predator deterrent technologies in California; and

4. Educating the public about wolf conservation and the challenges livestock producers face as they share working lands with wolves.
