Calyx & Beau Schenecker Memorial Fund

The Calyx & Beau Schenecker Memorial Fund was established after their tragic deaths in January of 2011 and has granted over $80,000 in scholarships for students and grants for non-profit organizations.

The Fund sponsors two sessions of Calyx Schenecker Art Infinitum, an annual High School Fine Arts Scholarship Competition at Hillsborough Community College (HCC) and St Petersburg College.  The Fund also provides the Beau Schenecker "Infinity + 1" Culinary Arts Scholarship at HCC, where students already enrolled in college receive scholarship funds, allowing them to continue their studies, earn their degrees, and obtain higher earnings potential.

The Schenecker Leadership and Ethics Seminar/Speaker Series focuses on youth development, providing Middle Schoolers the opportunity to think about and work through difficult issues prior to entering High School.  

The Memorial Fund’s most recent effort is the creation of the Beau Schenecker Leadership Scholarship. $2,500 scholarships are each awarded annually to one male and one female FBLA senior officer. Recent recipients attended Yale University and the University of Miami. The scholarship will be awarded annually at the FBLA State Leadership Conference in Orlando.
