At Pine Brook Camp, we believe that camp is a positive, life-changing experience for children of all ages regardless of the race, religion, ethnic back ground, or financial status.

Camp offers the opportunity for growth in all areas of life: physical, emotional, and spiritual. Camp is a place where lives are transformed, where young people have an opportunity to disconnect from their normal routines and distractions. It is a place where kids develop positive, lifelong friendships with peers and adult mentors. Camp helps build confidence, relationships, and memories that will last a lifetime.

The typical American child spends an average of 4 minutes playing outside each day and only an average of 3.5 minutes engaging in meaningful conversations with their parents each week. In contrast, camp is a place where children are immersed in nature, encouraged to try new things, and fostered by positive role models.

This summer, Pine Brook Camp partnered with ADC Prevention Associates to provide outdoor education and experiences to underprivileged youth, living in the low-income housing projects of Springfield. Children were able to experience nature and adventure in new ways through rock climbing, hiking, and canoeing. Through the use of scholarship funds, we were able to provide 10 kids from this program with full-week, overnight camp experiences .In addition to providing overnight camp stays for several children, we also partnered with Leyden Woods, a subsidized housing complex in Greenfield, to provide transportation and two weeks of day camp at little or no cost to families.

Pine Brook’s mission is to provide this great opportunity to families who cannot afford the camp experience. Our goal for this summer is to provide this same experience for 80 children, a total of $15,000! All gifts will be used to sponsor children living in subsidized housing, as well as disadvantaged youth. Funds will be used to provide partial and complete scholarships, based upon financial need, to youth in the Pioneer Valley.

Please join us in helping to make the life-changing experience of camp possible for all local children and their families!
