$8,500 Goal

Help Cancer Angels of San Diego care for Stage IV cancer patients. For 16 years Cancer Angels has been preventing homelessness and hunger by meeting the basic needs of Stage IV cancer patients in San Diego County as they undergo treatment.

Imagine the moment of a cancer diagnosis when the word is said out loud for the first time. Cancer and what it means - from relationships to finances, independence to appearance, and everything in between. It's so much to take in.

Now imagine that you, like the average American, have less than $3,500 in savings as the news is delivered. What would you do? Could you manage treatment while working full-time? Is there someone in your life who would step forward to help care for your children? What about your monthly expenses? What would you choose if you had to decide between the extra cost of treatment or paying the mortgage or utility bill?

These are the very real questions faced by Cancer Angels patients every day and it is into this moment - in the space between the diagnosis of cancer and the reality of its impact - that we step forward. Not just as a one-time source of support, but for as long as our patients need us, making Cancer Angels the one consistent in an otherwise shifting and uncertain world.

We are unique and personal in our approach, working to ease the financial pain for our low income patients so they can focus more of their energy on their health.
