Canter Haven Farm

Canter Haven Farm offers rehabilitation, retraining, and a permanent home for thoroughbreds retired from racing (Off the Track Thoroughbreds). We also educate the community about the benefit of thoroughbred ownership by attending equine events that showcase the talents of OTTBs.  

The goal of Canter Haven Farm is to be a contact for the tracks, trainers and owners to help find a new home, or become that new home, for a retiring thoroughbred. Canter Haven Farm is the place for OTTBs that need time to recover from injury, need training to excel in a new career or need a life long home. If we can match up an OTTB to an appropriate person, will do so but any OTTB that comes to Canter Haven will have a home, with plenty of love, for life. We also keep the barn doors open to OTTBs who may have landed in a rough situation and experienced neglect thus in need of extra care and attention.

Canter Haven is currently home to 8 Off the Track Thoroughbreds.
