Signature Program

The Math Tutorial Program is one of CCA's signature programs which has been in existence since 2001.  The program provides supplemental instruction to students (grades 3 – 12) who are experiencing difficulty in mathematics. Students are also receive tutoring to prepare for the FSA, SAT and the ACT examinations. Our dedicated tutorial staff include teachers from Hillsborough & Pinellas Public schools, USF students and retired math instructors from the college level. The University of South Florida has partnered with CCA in this educational outreach initiative and provides classroom space in the Physical Education building.  The program meets every Saturday morning 9:00am – 12:00pm

Health Outreach

The Health Outreach program focuses on the delivery of health education and wellness, dental and medical screenings, health fairs and other humanitarian services to under-served communities in the Caribbean and Tampa Bay.

Disaster Preparedness

The geographic location of the Caribbean region leaves it vulnerable to various natural hazards like hurricanes and earthquakes.   CCA has taken a proactive approach to assist in relief efforts in the region by preparing well in advance to respond to any disaster events. We continue to prepare care packages to be distributed to victims of any natural disasters, both locally and abroad.  Please visit the website (CCA91.org) and click on “packages for victims” to see a list of the items needed.

Scholarship 

Our annual scholarship program renamed Tony Ashmeade Scholarship Fund for Education, honoring a past president and one of our founding members helps Caribbean need- based students in tertiary institutions in Hillsborough, Pasco, and Pinellas counties. 

Community Connections:

• Connects the community to International Grade K-12 students, businesses, sponsors, families and individuals.
• Provides a forum to discuss, share and educate our audience on topics that are current and relevant  eg. Immigration, Healthcare and Continuing Education.
• Networks with Caribbean Consulates and other Associations statewide and locally.
• Shares our Caribbean heritage and culture using the Arts; Music, Dance, Drama, Written & Spoken Words, Painting and our Cuisine
