Caring Hearts Thriftshop

     Caring Hearts Thriftshop and Burnett County food Pantry mission statement “To work together with local agencies in helping low-income individuals and families achieve self - sufficiency within their communities”.                                                                                                                                                                                                                             We help with household items and clothing from our store if they have had issues such as a fire, homeless, fleeing domestic abuse, etc. We can help with utilities and rent and some minor car repairs when funds allow.                                                                                                                                                                                                                      Our food pantry serves all of Burnett County. We host two food distributions two times per month. First Thursday is sponsored by the Lions and Webb Lake Community club. The third Thursday is sponsored by the Yellow Lake Food Distribution. Through just these two distributions we serve over 650 families from area communities. The food pantry serves over 200 families monthly. We are trying to reach shut ins to hopefully deliver food to them.

We host Santa day in December. We usually get items donated from Toys for Tots and one individual. We also have an Easter egg hunt, host a coat drive, and help with the homeless count 2 times per year.

We partner with other agencies in the community – Salvation Army, Interfaith Caregivers, Healthy Burnett, area churches. Through the church they donate gas cards which then help individuals needing gas for drs appointments and other emergencies. Caring Hearts is also a member of the Siren Chambers.

We rely on donated items and monetary donations to keep our store and pantry going. Rent and utilities are a big expense for us.
