Carl Correns Foundation for Mathematical Biology

The Carl Correns Foundation is a new enterprise of active working scientists making a difference in medicine by building better software and exploring theoretical models with mathematical tools. There is too little funding of this complex interdisciplinary work. Most of us are former postdocs at Stanford, or professors of mathematics or computer science.

This campaign is about extracting data and building a new dataset on the effects of carcinogens (toxins) on individual cells and how they interacts with genetic causes of cancer.  Once this has been done, the result will be shared with the public.

Then we can use the dataset to build models of cancer progression on this, and use the results for personalized, precision medicine.
