Carroll County Humane Society

The Carroll County Humane Society was founded in 1970.  We are dedicated to making Carroll County a community in which every companion animal has a safe, loving, permanent home; all pets are spayed or neutered; and all animals are treated humanely by an educated and compassionate public. We maintain a number of programs that are designed to provide a social safety net for animals in our community, including Empty Pet Bowls (a pet food pantry), Angel Fund (help with emergency veterinary expenses), Fix Fido/Sewell Fund (spay/neuter), and Shelter Me! (free housing for outdoor animals). We also promote adoption of animals from the local animal shelter, by hosting off-site adoption events, maintaining a Facebook page featuring adoptable animals, and providing photos and copy for their Petfinder listings.
