Carson Valley Arts Council

In 2004, CVAC was formed by a group of like minded residents who had the desire to be that all encompassing non-profit organization  in the Carson Valley to where all the arts organizations can go for marketing and to promote the arts in the area. But at the time the Arts Council did not have a home.

Enter the Copeland Building - an old warehouse and lumber yard for the past 35 years. In 2008, CVAC purchased the 18,000 square foot Copeland Building.

The Copeland Building in its current state is an empty shell. CVAC is focused on renovating  the Copeland Building into a fixed-seat multi-functional cultural and performing arts center.

Since 2009, CVAC's Board of Directors has made this project a priority in recognition of the demand and needs of the community.

CVAC is now entering Part 2 of its campaign to raise the funds to renovate the building.
