The Carson Valley Trails Association (CVTA) is a Nevada volunteer-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization working with partners to provide access to public lands through a recreational trail system for present and future generations to enjoy.

CVTA was the leading organization in the design, construction and project management of the 9-mile Fay-Luther/Jobs Peak Ranch Trail System in 2008, the 5-mile Bently-Kirman Tract Trail in 2010 and the 16-mile Genoa Trail System in 2012. These popular, non-motorized hiking, mountain biking and equestrian trails provide a wide range of recreational opportunities for all ages and skill levels to participate in and to enjoy the beauty of the Carson Valley.

In 2014, CVTA completed the Clear Creek Trail, a 10.5 mile trail in the northwest area of the Carson Valley that is open to hikers, mountain bikers, equestrians and dogs. This trail officially opened on April 12, 2014.

In the Fall of 2014, CVTA began construction of the Pinyon Trail on the east side of the Carson Valley near Gardnerville. This project complements the local trail systems on the west side of the Carson Valley, adding 5 new miles of trails for residents and visitors to the area to enjoy. The grand opening of the trail is on Saturday, March 14, 2015.

"Nevada's Big Give" donations to the Carson Valley Trails Association will support trail construction, trailhead improvements and signage amenities for future CVTA trails projects.
