Mission

Casa Nueva Vida was founded in 1987 by Travelers Aid and community members to help the residents of Greater Boston gain the necessary skills to ensure that they never return to the ever growing ranks of homeless families.

Programs

Homeless families need services such as housing, counseling, education and assistance in setting goals toward a better future. CNV offers weekly workshops on topics including nutrition, cooking, self-esteem, contraception, AIDS and domestic violence. Residents can also take weekly computer courses at the shelter. Among CNVs recent accomplishments were placing over 160 families in affordable housing units, and purchasing a site and front lot.
