CASA of Lafourche

The mission of CASA of Lafourche is to secure a safe, permanent home for every foster child in Lafourche Parish by assigning them a volunteer child advocate to speak up for them in all court proceedings involving their foster care case.

CASA Volunteers are everyday people from the community that want to give back in a big way. CASA Volunteers are trained and supported by CASA staff to " speak up" for a child, who has come into the court system due to abuse or neglect by their parent or guardian. CASA volunteers work to ensure that their CASA child's voice is heard throughout the case and all decisions being made on their behalf are what's in their best interest. A CASA volunteer's ultimate goal is to ensure that their CASA child is able to thrive in a safe, loving, permanent home.
