A letter from a CASA child...

My experience with CASA has been amazing. My CASA helped me with my math homework,which I struggled with severely.  She explained math like no one else.  My CASA is one of the sweetest, most caring and loving people I have ever met.  Whenever I got out of my residential home and went to a foster home it was  a difficult change. At first I wasn't sure if I wanted to live there. My CASA was the only adult I told.  She talked to my Foster mom and see if there was any way we could find some solution to problems that was making me want to leave. Thanks to her I found a lot of reason to stay and I lived in that house for 2 years until I aged out of care.  That foster home was the best home I lived in. If it wasn't for my CASA I would have left.  And CASA is more than an advocate. They become a friend, a sister, and someone that will be there for the rest of your life. Being in the CASA program was the best thing that ever happened to me and I gained a best friend.
