Born of the recognition that 70% of new HIV infections in Oregon continue to come about among men who have sex with men, Cascade AIDS Project (CAP) opened Pivot (formerly known as the Men’s Wellness Center) in 2006 to provide culturally relevant and competent HIV prevention, education, referrals, social opportunities, and more.

In 2013 at Pivot…

…over 1,000 HIV tests were done with gay/bi/trans men, a new record as we continued to offer even more opportunities for walk-in HIV testing.

…over 1,100 HIV/STD exams in conjunction with Multnomah County Health Department were conducted.

… 4,625 gay, bisexual, and trans men—a third of whom were people of color—visited the space.

… over 120,000 condoms and other safer sex supplies were distributed

Pivot remains a trusted source of affirming and competent sexual health care for the queer community as well as a one-stop shop for resources and referrals. On GiveOUT Day 2014, we hope you’ll join the Pivot Crew and show your support with a donation.
