3633 “O” Street—Where the Cool Cats Hang Out! The cats and volunteers at The Cat House (TCH) are now celebrating 2 years at their new digs! The design of the new facility allows the cats and kittens to watch birds and cars fly by and to soak up the sunshine!

The Cat House, Lincoln's no-kill cat shelter, cares for about 150 cats at any given time. It is TCH’s mission to find cats caring, loving, forever homes; however, if a cat is not adopted, it has a home for the rest of its natural life at TCH or in a foster home. All cats in our care receive the best medical care possible; e.g., dental care and medication for high blood pressure, thyroid, diabetes, etc. If needed, cats are taken to a dermatologist or an ophthalmologist!

Not all cats helped by TCH come to the facility. TCH also offers a Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) program in the City of Lincoln for feral cats. The cats are trapped, neutered/spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and ear tipped and then returned to their original site where they are under the watchful eye of a caretaker. TNR prevents the birth of hundreds of kittens each year and helps to keep vaccinated cats healthy.

TCH is operated entirely by volunteers from Lincoln and the surrounding area. It is financially supported by money from adoption fees, retail sales, and, most importantly, through donations. No government funds are received.

YOUR DONATION will help TCH spay or neuter, vaccinate, and microchip hundreds of cats and kittens, both domesticated and feral, from our community. By stressing the importance of spaying or neutering to the public, we help to prevent the birth and death of thousands of felines every year in Lincoln.
