Can you imagine what it would be like to not have a safe place to sleep for yourself or your children? Every single night 50-60 women and families with children are in shelter at the Cathedral Center.

They are grateful for a warm meal and a safe place to sleep. They appreciate the support and guidance they receive to help get their lives back on track.

Your past support has helped women and families get the help they needed at a time when they had nowhere else to turn.

We hear comments like these every day:  “I’m glad that I can say, ‘I am OK.’” And “We love the Cathedral Center so much. We are so grateful.”

Then there is the grateful father who said, “I want to give my daughter the best life I can.” And from the child who was a bit nervous about moving to a new home with her family after being in shelter, “We are so happy at home and mama isn’t worried anymore.”

While we already end homelessness for many women and families, your gift can make it possible for so many more women and families to receive the help they need.

I will be moving next week. And that’s a big deal. My previous landlords offered me a duplex that I rented from them about three years ago. I guess it pays to be a good tenant. They understand that losing my job was the only reason I had money issues and they had to evict me in the first place. I am grateful I could stay at Cathedral Center during this time. They helped me figure things out and find a job. I can’t wait to move. It will be so nice to be back in my old neighborhood! I’m going home, and that feels good.
