Catholic Charities of Idaho

Catholic Charities of Idaho is a faith-based social service agency committed to alleviating poverty and building resilience. CCI promotes dignity and strengthens financial and emotional well-being by offering a variety of professional services to all people regardless of religion, age, gender, disability, race/ethnicity, income or background.

CCI’s professional social services are delivered by licensed or accredited staff and designed to empower individuals and families to reach their full spiritual, emotional and economic potential. CCI provides the following core services:

Education Services:

• Education services include after school youth programs, parenting classes and English language classes.

Counseling Services:

•  Individual, couple, family and group counseling services are available to address a full range of life’s challenges.

Economic Stability Services:

• Financial literacy and asset building programs help families improve their economic circumstances.

Immigration Legal Services:

• Low cost immigration legal services are provided to individuals eligible to become citizens.

Albert and Felicite’s success story shows how your donation helps strengthen families.

Albert and Felicite came to Catholic Charities of Idaho (CCI) looking to build a more secure future for their children. The family of six was struggling to get by and lacked stable, safe housing. Referred by their local Catholic parish, Albert and Felicite enrolled in CCI’s Pathways to Economic Stability Program and attended financial literacy classes to learn about banking, saving and understanding credit. The family saved diligently for two years, depositing money into a special savings account in which donor and grant funds matched two dollars for every dollar they saved. The family’s hard work was rewarded in the fall when they made a down payment on their first permanent home! What’s more, the family contributed over 500 hours of labor to build their house, working with Habitat for Humanity volunteers. Albert and Felicite not only have a new home for their family, but they feel a special connection to their neighbors. By volunteering at their parish, growing produce for the hungry and mentoring struggling families at CCI, the family now gives back to the community that assisted them during their time of need.

Catholic Charities of Idaho offers a variety of social services that improve lives, promote dignity and build individual and family self-sufficiency. Our providers are committed to best practice standards that are innovative, transformative and achieve positive and lasting outcomes.

Counseling Services: CCI’s counseling addresses emotional and behavioral difficulties. Services are available for adults, and adolescents in a variety of forms, including individual, family, couple and group sessions.

Immigration Legal Services: Legal consultations and assistance on most immigration matters are available including citizenship, family petitions and applications for victims of certain qualifying crimes, such as domestic violence.

Case Management and Crisis Intervention Services: CCI provides a variety of crisis intervention and case management services to help our brothers and sisters in need get back on their feet. Using wholistic, strength based techniques, we assist our clients to develop the skills they need to manage all aspects of their life. We focus on financial well being, housing, parenting/family relationships, emotional/physical health, and social connections. 

Financial Wellness and Coaching Services:  Financial education and coaching services help families build financial security by learning skills, setting goals, budgeting and enrolling in saving programs.

Youth Support Services: Youth mentoring and support services are aimed at educating and empowering youth to promote overall well-being and enrichment.

Community Resource Referrals:  If a client needs services we don't directly provide, CCI offers general information and referral services, a connection to community resources and short-term support services, so the client receives what they need to move forward.
