Catholic Enrichment Center

A nonprofit organization

$1,545 raised by 19 donors

The Catholic Enrichment Center (CEC) is an extension of the Archdiocese of Louisville Office of Multicultural Ministry (OMM). It was established in the spring of 2000 to provide holistic cultural enrichment, formation, academic development, and outreach ministry from an intergenerational family perspective. It builds on the assets of the family and the community while capturing the volunteer's spirit. Though primarily serving the people of West Louisville, the CEC is a community-gathering place where all are welcome. At the CEC people are able to find answers that enhance one's life from a holistic perspective.

Your donation helps to support youth programs such as our Camp Africa Summer Program, tutoring, Cultural Institute Dance Programs in Ballet and Liturgical Movement, Black History Month Wax Museum to honor heroes of the past and present; Senior Ministry programs that range from learning how to better use cell phones to making Derby hats; and community programs such as our Veterans' Day Celebration, couponing workshops, quilting classes, Girl Scouts troop, snack packs for the homeless, expungement clinics,  and our CEC Food Pantry to name a few. Your generosity enables community members to participate in these programs at free or reduced cost.
