Catholic Hunger and Shelter Network

A nonprofit organization

This video was shot at the Bishop Cosgrove Center in Cleveland, but Renee's love and care for those she serves are indicative of the volunteers at any of the Catholic Hunger & Shelter Network Sites. The Catholic Hunger & Shelter Network, a group of shelters, food pantries, hot meal programs, and rent and utility assistance, relentlessly drives to make the world around them a little less difficult for those struggling in their communities. Please support their energy and enthusiasm in serving the poor across the eight counties of our diocese.

Here’s a look at some of our programs that will benefit from your donations: Liberty Preparatory School, located in Smithville, Ohio, and committed to serving the needs of students and their families by providing innovative and supportive education solutions, will use donations toward food costs for its chronically under-funded breakfast and lunch programs. These programs are responsible for serving 665 meals per month to a population of under 200 kids.

St. Edward Hunger Center, a hot meal program in Ashland, Ohio, will donate to bolster its weekly hot meal program, currently operating on a near-untenable budget of just sixty-five cents per meal, per guest.

St. Martin de Porres, a community center in the Glenville neighborhood of Cleveland, will use donations to help cover food costs for its pantry, serving 2,500 meals per month.

Funds raised will be used for programming in 2024.
